RB LenDale White's commitment to getting in shape was evident in the offseason, and it continued into training camp, where he reported at 228 pounds and noted he felt more explosive than he did in the past. However, White's new physique might not lead to an increase in work; a source close to the club expects White to get roughly the 205 touches he got last season. The Titans are likely to use second-year RB Chris Johnson more this season, and there has been a lot of excitement about the prospect of a more explosive passing game. The way we hear it, there is, interestingly enough, some concern about whether White can be as effective a short-yardage, goal-line runner after having carried 260 pounds or more earlier in his career. In 2008, he scored TDs on 11 of his 16 rushes from the opponents' three-yard line and in, the sixth-best percentage in the NFL, according to STATS.
