The NFL announced Tuesday evening that two more players will be eligible for selection in the supplemental draft, increasing the total number of potential draftees to eight.

Texas Tech DE McKinner Dixon and Tennessee DB Demetrice Morley will now join the other eligible players for the draft, which will be conducted at 1 p.m. ET on July 16.

Kentucky DE Jeremy Jarmon is likely to be drafted no later than the third round. Kansas State WR-RS Deon Murphy could be a late-round pick. The other six players — Western Kentucky LB Blake Boyd, Dixon, Southern Mississippi WR Torris Magee, Central Michigan OG-OT Joe McMahon, Morley and Florida State WR Corey Surrency — are unlikely to be drafted.

Not enough emphasis is placed on this supplemental draft. Most teams administrative personal are on a well deserved vacation during this time but this draft is where a team can find under the radar guys. For example, look at behemoth OT Jared Gaither from U of Maryland whom the Ravens used a 5th round pick to get. This guy is potential Pro Bowl caliber guy in the future for a 5th rounder which is proven that during the 5th round only about 25% ever pan out in the league. Like any draft and including the supplemental draft, nothing is sure fire but this Jeremy Jarmon DE from U of Kentucky is a talented 4-3 DE.
